COTS serves approximately 800 homeless single adults a year, providing emergency shelter, transitional housing, case management, workshops, drug and alcohol recovery programs, job skill classes and more.

When we first came to Petaluma we had no hope. We were defeated by life and circumstances, totally convinced that we would most likely die on the streets. Lost to our addiction and misery we wound up on your doorstep, and you embraced us and treated us with respect and dignity. You did not judge or ridicule, but instead encouraged and nurtured. Gradually you showed us that there was a way out of the gloom in which we lived. We will never forget what you did for us.”
