SHELLEY

Shelley is 50 years old and wants to go back to school to become a veterinary assistant.She is clean and sober but has been homeless for many years.  She recently found out that the cancer she thought was in remission is back again, this time invading her pelvis.  COTS staff helped Shelley get into housing and provided assistance to make sure she gets the medical treatment she needs. She has lost a tremendous amount of weight from her already tiny frame and worries she may never be able to pursue her dream of going back to school and building a real life for herself.She still needs help with transportation to keep medical appointments and cannot afford nutritional supplements or special foods which could increase her strength and hold some of her suffering at bay.
