Bill and Connie Hammerman arrived in Petaluma twenty years ago when COTS was just in its early stages of providing emergency shelter for the homeless. Both retired educators from San Francisco, they quickly engaged with the community by volunteering in local causes. Bill helped spearhead an initiative to get more computers in the schools. When he had too many, he would donate them to COTS.

In 2013, COTS celebrates 25 years of service to Petaluma and Sonoma County. We've grown from a few mats on the floors of local churches to sheltering 350 children and adults every night, with services that save and transform lives.

John Records to Depart as Executive Director; Mike Johnson to Lead COTS
COTS has announced its strategic succession plan with John Records stepping down as Executive Director of the agency after 21 years.
